Pneumatic Conveying Systems
Dilute phase, dense phase and nitrogen closed-loop conveying, engineered to your material – up to 150 t/h.
Design data
- Conveying modes
- Dilute / medium / dense phase, nitrogen closed loop; pressure or vacuum
- Capacity
- Up to 150 t/h
- Control
- Continuous system; controller, PLC or HMI
- Options
- Air control unit (ACU), pellet screening, powder blending, dedusting
- Typical materials
- PP, PE, PC, ABS, PET, PVA, PVB, PVC, POM, PTA, LFP, PVDF
Pneumatic conveying moves powders and pellets through closed pipelines with a gas stream. We choose the conveying mode from your material properties, distance and capacity: dense phase pressure, dilute phase pressure, vacuum and nitrogen closed-loop conveying, together with pellet screening, powder blending and dedusting – up to 150 t/h.
Features
- Conveys bulk material directly – no packaging, high efficiency
- Simple equipment, small footprint, low maintenance cost
- Automated remote control keeps operating costs low
- Flexible routing for a rational plant layout
- Material stays dry and clean; less dust
- Central, distributed, high-level and long-distance conveying
Applications
- Plastics: production and compounding of PP, PE, PC, ABS, PET, PVA, PVB, PVC, POM, PTA and more – nitrogen closed-loop conveying, pellet screening, powder blending, dilute and dense phase, up to 150 t/h.
- Food and pharma: automatic dosing and conveying of powders and liquids for ISO 8 (class 100,000) clean rooms and explosion-protected areas, meeting GMP, HACCP and FDA requirements.
- Lithium battery materials: dosing and conveying of LFP, lithium carbonate, NCA, PVDF and other sticky materials; no copper, zinc or nickel in any part that touches the product, and no metal-to-metal friction.
Conveying modes
Dilute phase
High velocity, low pressure, low solids loading. Simple and economical, for materials that tolerate attrition.
Medium phase
Medium velocity, medium solids loading.
Dense phase
Low velocity, high pressure, high solids loading. Minimal attrition, dust and streamers – for fragile, high-value materials.
Nitrogen closed loop
Nitrogen is recirculated as the conveying gas – for oxidation-sensitive materials or explosion-protected plants.
Vacuum conveying
Multiple pick-up points to one destination; negative pressure keeps dust inside.
Dedusting
Removes fines and streamers from pellets to protect downstream quality.
Design approach
Select the best conveying mode for the material, distance and capacity
Determine the key conveying parameters by testing the material
Test attrition in dilute phase, dense phase and dune flow as the basis for design
Optimize gas velocity with correctly placed pipeline step-ups
System components
A pneumatic conveying system usually includes the following parts – we can design, build and deliver all of them as one package.
Feeding in
Big bag and sack stations, container discharge units
Metering
Rotary valves for pellets or powders
Piping & diverting
Conveying pipes, diverter valves, knife gate valves
Air control
Air control unit (ACU) adjusts air flow and pressure automatically
Storage
Storage silos, blending silos and other process silos
Dust collection
Silo-top filters and bag filters
