Loading & Unloading Systems · Container Unloading (CDU)

A wide inlet and opposing screw flights collect powders and granules toward a central outlet, with particular advantages for poorly flowing powders with a high angle of repose.

Defined by the material, liner and vehicle

CDU PG01 combines a wide receiving opening with opposing screw flights. The arrangement accommodates a large opening at the bottom of the container liner, while the screw collects material inward from both sides toward the central outlet. This active collection offers particular advantages for poorly flowing powders with a high angle of repose, and also handles granules. Liner openings, clamping interfaces and downstream conveying are configured for the application.

Features

  • Wide receiving opening accommodates a large bottom opening in the liner
  • Opposing screw flights collect material from both sides toward the central outlet
  • For powders and granules, with particular advantages for poorly flowing powders with a high angle of repose
  • Stainless-steel screw and housing, with polished contact surfaces and a brushed housing exterior

Applications

  • Container unloading applications for PE/PP and other plastic powders and granules
  • Powder applications with a high angle of repose and poor flowability that benefit from active collection

Choosing a CDU model

Six configurations for different discharge requirements: start with flow behavior, then match the liner interface and installation arrangement.

ModelArrangementMaterial focusReceiving concept
PG01Container-mountedPowders and granules; poor-flow powdersWide inlet, opposing flights
PG02Container-mountedFree-flowing powders and granulesFrame-mounted receiving unit
PG03Container-mountedCaking, poorly flowing bulk solidsAccess panels, central discharge
PG04MobileFree-flowing powders and granulesWide fishtail inlet
PG05MobileFree-flowing bulk solidsThree liner connections
PG06MobileFree-flowing granulesRound inlet, rotary valve

This comparison supports initial selection. Final configuration depends on material trials, liner dimensions and conveying conditions.

Information for selection

These inputs help match the receiving interface, discharge assembly and downstream conveying system.
